Change agent with experiences in both Design and Production. Hong Yu is especially interested in Sustainability and the intersection of garment production, social impact, and innovation.

In 2015, Hong was exposed to the problems concerning fashion’s supply chains, decided to focus her efforts on productions. Her pursuit to understand fashion’s global supply chain and to learn innovative design techniques lead her to places such as the South of China, Germany, Amsterdam and New York.

Her research includes Circular Economy, Emotionally Durable Design, and Bio-Materials. At the Copenhagen Youth Fashion Summit, Hong worked with an amazing group of researchers to explored how the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals offer opportunities for companies to align their sustainability goals with broad societal aims.
